Semi-finals

Matias Boeker of the USA beat Jamil Al Agba of the USA 6-4, 6-3

Frank Dancevic of Canada beat  Julio Peralta of Chile 6-3, 7-5
Nick Bollettieri provided attendees with an insight into his talent for talent that has made him a household name.
Nick spent almost an hour recounting fascinating stories of a career that has spanned a quarter century of the Bollettieri Academy's unique success in the identification and development of many of the World's top tennis players.
And then spent another hour providing tips to a group of local youngsters
The amazing thing was that, having spent a lifetime teaching players of the stature of Andre Agassi, Anna Kournikova, Boris Becker, Monica Seles, he still clearly enjoyed the interaction with these kids
Nick demonstrated an uncanny ability to quickly identify a slight adaptation in each player's game that produced an improvement in their game. He quickly stepped forward with a tennis ball to tuck under one girl's arm with an instruction to make sure she didn't let it fall as she hit a succession of volleys. The improvement in her ability to control her volleys was instantaneous.
He also gave each of the kids the chance to ask him a question and answered all of them with great enthusiasm
We will bring you details of an interview with Nick shortly
And, while the kids cooled off with free Powerade, the spectators were treated to free samples of Michelob Ultra delivered to them courtside - in style...!

One lucky and happy ball kid displays a $50 bill won as part of a series of tennis games that rewarded the accuracy and consistency of competitors drawn from spectators. Other cash prizes as well as several dinner tickets for 2 donated by Medieval Times were also given away

And these group of ball kids were happy to be part of the action of a pro tennis event and enjoy the fun and games in a bright, warm Florida sun.
