So tomorrow's semifinal match-ups are: |
 |
 |
|
Matias Boeker of the USA v.
Qualifier Jamil Al Agba of
the USA |
 |
 |
|
Julio Peralta of Chile v.
Frank Dancevic of Canada |
| |
| And
losing quarter-finalist, Alex Skrypko,
gets a special mention for showing that the obvious
disappointment of losing an important match does not
always have to result in hitting a ball into the parking lot or
smashing a racquet against a fence. After his match, Alex warmly
and sincerely congratulated his opponent,
Frank Dancevic, and
even managed to show us a big smile. |

| Although
the photos portray scenes typical of a nice, sunny day in
Florida, we would like to show proof that today we had record
low temperatures .... Temperatures that were so low that, on the
nightly news, there were reports that flakes of snow were
spotted on the coast near Daytona Beach. Yes, SNOW. In
FLORIDA.... |
 |
 |
| Umpires
had to resort to some unorthodox uniforms - which in at least
one case, seemed to impair their ability to see the
lines too clearly.... ...but there were still a few die-hard
spectators determined to see some professional tennis - like
this nice couple from Leesburg, Florida.
