This incredibly handsome newcomer to the pro-tennis world was born in 1983 and raised as the youngest of five children in a tennis-enthusiastic family in Pretoria, South Africa. In addition to tennis, Heinrich spent his high-school years competing in tough sports such as rugby, cricket and the shot-putt. As a hobby, he enjoys surfing when on vacation at his parents' beach house at the South African coast. These days though, you can find Heinrich closer to the "Redneck Riviera" on the campus of South Alabama University where he is gaining experience playing top-level college tennis for the Jaguars, a Division 1 team, before turning pro. He hopes to make it into the top 200. After seeing him play, we do not think this goal is by any means unreasonable! Although his friends describe him as "a little bit cocky", we found him to be rather modest. During our photo-shoot at the Star Island Resort near Orlando, Florida where he was competing in a $10k Futures event, he wanted to know, "Why did you select me...?" Anyone want to tell him?
