Anastasia Myskina

Anastasia was born July 8, 1981 in Moscow, Russia to Father Andrey and Mother Galina.

Her first pro title came in 1997 when, at the age of 16, she won a tournament in Georgia (formerly part of the Soviet Union) by beating her fellow-Russian rival Elena Dementieva. Since then she has steadily worked her way up the WTA leader-board and is currently ranked 11 in the World.

But, in spite of her success, Anastasia remains one of the 'nicest' players around. At the 2001 Bausch & Lomb tournament she ran around the stands with a bucket of candy after participating in a quick doubles "match" with partner Nadia Petrova against a couple of local junior players.

So, here's a few bonus pictures of this beautiful and talented player...
