Around and About
Due to the limited number of practice courts available and all the players wanting to get in shape for the start of the Main Draw tomorrow, some of the competitors had to find their exercise in more creative ways - this WASN'T one of them....!
BUT, for those looking to shed a few pounds and gain a little muscle tone, so that YOU TOO can look like those bronzed bods that adorn the South Florida beaches, we can now reveal their exercise secrets.
Ladies, get rid of those flimsy necklaces. The 'chunky' look is in! Get some real lead around your neck and work out while looking chic. And gentlemen, forget those snakeskin Armani belts! Get some divers weights around that spreading waistline and get rid of those love-handles....
Back at the Tennis Center, no matter how exciting the tennis, there's always time to find interesting characters lurking around the grounds. Frank Waters, left, is a famous horse event announcer (dressage, three-day events and hunters/jumpers for the knowledgeable). Originally from England, he now lives in Delray Beach. Check out his web site at http://www.horseshowsusa.com. Bob Green, right, is a former pro tennis player and now plays on the Senior Tour. He is the author of 2 tennis books and is working on a third.

So now we can call this picture Frank Waters Bob Green - no wonder he grew so tall.... Hey, it's Sunday - and Sunday's supposed to be a day off so don't be expecting quality humor....

And if you wonder what else we've been doing with just 4 scheduled matches today, take a look at a sample of what's coming up in our Players are People feature - Alberto Martin....! Yummee....
