The following example shows the first two games of the second set of a match
Each column that follow the server's name indicates the result of a single point
The following symbols are used:
/ Point won
A Service Ace
D Double fault
The position of the symbol indicates whether the point was won by:
the server - top row
the receiver - bottom row
  First Serve fault (a dot is used when completed by hand)
In the example below:
The / symbol in the first column indicates that the first point of the set
was won by the server
The underline in the next column indicates that the first serve of the
second point was a fault
The / symbol in the lower half of the second column indicates that the second
point was won by the receiver
The A in the third colum indicates that the point was won by a service ace
The / in the 4th and 5th columns indicates that the points were won by the server
The first game was won by the server. The scoring was 15 - 0, 15 all, 30 -15,
40 - 15 and then game,
In the second game, the score progressed, 0 - 15, 15 all, 15 - 30, 30 all, 40 - 30,
deuce. Advantage receiver, deuce, advantage receiver, game
The first serves were faults on the first 4 points, the first point at deuce and
on game point - which was a double fault
The tie break (the last game in the example below) is slightly different but the
symbols used are the same. The progression of the score is shown
below the regular scoring rows.
