Jelena Jankovic of Serbia beat Shinobu Asagoe of Japan 4-6 6-2 7-6(5)
At 5-all in the third set tie-break, Jankovic fell to the ground complaining of a twisted ankle.
After a lengthy delay while the trainer was located (and a nap was taken by Jankovic)
 strapping was applied and play resumed
Jankovic served and won the point. At this point - 6-5 - Asagoe collapsed with apparent leg cramps
Fortunately the trainer had stayed at the Court and treatment was swift.
One more point and it was all over - with the last two points taking over 20 minutes...!
